General CertNova Questions

CertNova helps P.Eng applicants with each stage of licensing. CBA Pro interviews you about your own projects and turns your answers into a Competency-Based Assessment draft. A licensed P.Eng reads finished drafts (CBA Draft Review) and returned CBAs (CBA Rejection Support). NPPE Pro prepares you for the exam, and career coaching helps with your next engineering role.

CertNova is for P.Eng applicants in Canada, whether your experience is Canadian or from abroad: people who are stuck on their CBA, unsure what their association expects, preparing for the NPPE, or looking for a better engineering role.

No. CertNova supports applicants across Canada. Our services are built around the competency-based assessment process used by Canadian engineering regulators, including applicants applying through provinces such as Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and others.

No. Nobody can promise approval; your regulator decides. What we can do is help you submit the clearest, most accurate version of your own experience. Our review service's record so far: 40+ CBAs reviewed since June 2025. No rejection reported back to us. We don't turn that into a rate, because not everyone tells us.

How it's counted

No. CertNova does not replace the regulator, evaluator, validator, or official licensing process. CertNova provides tools, guidance, review, and coaching to help applicants better understand and complete the process.

No. CBA Pro interviews you about your own work, asking what your association looks for, and turns your CV and your answers into a formatted draft for you to review and improve, showing you where information is still missing. Our review and consulting services don't write for you either: a reviewer shows you what to change and you make the changes. Either way, your CBA must describe your own experience, and you stay responsible for what you submit.

Yes, when used properly. CertNova is designed to support ethical preparation. We help applicants understand expectations, improve structure, identify gaps, and communicate their own experience more clearly. We do not encourage copying, false claims, or outsourcing someone else’s experience as your own.

CertNova currently offers CBA Pro, NPPE Pro, CBA consulting, CBA draft review, rejection support, review against regulator comments, and career coaching for your next engineering role.
